You may choose to have your session in and around your home or at any local location that has special meaning to you. Are you looking for a lovely park area, or maybe something with more of an urban feel? I can suggest several places that will help define you and your family best in a portrait. I prefer to shoot with natural light. Why you ask? Because it is gorgeous! So with this said the best lighting for your photo session will be either early morning or late afternoon when the sun is soft. If these times are not conducive to your family, let me know and we can work around your schedule so that we can get the best portraits possible.
Prior to your session, you will have either a telephone or email consultation (or sometimes both) with Samantha Joy to discuss clothing, location, desired photos and any other questions or concerns. An in-person consultation is available upon request. If you ever have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Your session fee is required in full to set your photo shoot date in Samantha Joy’s appointment book. About two weeks after your session, an on-line gallery will be posted with your proofs. Your on-line gallery will be available for viewing for 7 days. After your gallery is posted, Samantha Joy will contact you to set up a *print ordering appointment. Examples of press printed cards in different finishes are also available for you to view to help you make the best decision in ordering the cards you might need. Prints are ready within 2 weeks, specialty items 4 weeks.
